YOU
CAN
HEAL.

The body naturally eliminates toxins through the liver, kidneys, skin, and other organs, but certain foods, supplements, and lifestyle practices support these processes. Below is a list of natural methods often cited for supporting detoxification of toxins like heavy metals along with relevant sources.

Ways to Help Your Body Naturally Detoxify Toxins Like Heavy Metals:

1. Consume Foods Rich in Antioxidants (Vitamin C, Sulfur-Containing Foods)

Antioxidants like vitamin C (found in citrus fruits, bell peppers, berries [wild blueberries are the best!]) and sulfur-containing foods (garlic, onions, broccoli) neutralize free radicals caused by heavy metals and support liver detoxification. These foods bind to metals, aiding excretion through digestion.

2. Incorporate Cilantro and Detoxifying Herbs

Cilantro, parsley, dandelion, and burdock act as natural chelators, binding to heavy metals like mercury and lead to facilitate their removal via urine or stool. Cilantro and parsley reduce lead absorption in bones, dandelion supports liver and kidney function, and burdock promotes detoxification through blood purification.

There are many free medicinal herbs (weeds) growing wild all over the country that have the power to help our bodies detoxify.  You can find some of them listed by clicking HERE.

3. Use Bovine Colostrum and

Goat’s Milk

Bovine colostrum, the nutrient-rich milk produced by cows shortly after giving birth, and goat’s milk support gut health and immune function. A healthy gut enhances toxin excretion, including heavy metals, by improving digestion and reducing inflammation. Colostrum’s proteins and immunoglobulins aid liver and kidney function, while goat’s milk provides bioavailable nutrients and may support detoxification due to its easier digestibility compared to cow’s milk.

4. Drink Spring Water

Pure spring water, free from contaminants like heavy metals often found in tap water, supports hydration and kidney function. The kidneys filter blood and excrete heavy metals through urine, making clean water essential for detoxification. Spring water’s natural mineral content supports overall health without adding toxins.  Store spring water in glass to avoid microplastics.  You can buy spring water in glass or collect your own spring water.  Find a local spring near you on www.FindaSpring.org <---- click here.

5. Increase Dietary Fiber

Fiber-rich foods like whole grains, fruits, and vegetables (e.g., beets, broccoli) bind to heavy metals in the digestive tract, preventing absorption and promoting excretion. Fiber also supports gut health, crucial for detoxification.

6. Take Probiotics

Probiotics, found in yogurt, kefir, or supplements, enhance gut microbiome health, which may improve heavy metal excretion. Studies show certain probiotics (e.g., Lactobacillus species) increase bile acid synthesis, aiding the removal of metals like copper and nickel.

7. Use Algae

Algae like spirulina and chlorella, nutrient-dense algae, contain chlorophyll and phycocyanin, which bind to heavy metals like mercury and lead, supporting their elimination. Chlorella enhances mercury detoxification, while spirulina protects organs like the liver and brain from metal accumulation.

8. Rebounding on a Trampoline or Using a Vibration Plate

Jumping on a trampoline (rebounding) or using a vibration plate stimulates the lymphatic system, helping remove toxins, including heavy metals, through sweat and circulation. These activities also promote sweating, which can excrete metals like lead and cadmium more effectively than urine in some cases.

9. Supplement with Selenium and Zinc

Selenium and zinc combat heavy metal toxicity. Selenium forms inactive complexes with metals, while zinc competes with metals like cadmium for absorption. Both support antioxidant defenses, reducing oxidative stress from metals.

10. Practice Sweating

Sweating through exercise, saunas, hot epsom salt baths, or dynamic activities like rebounding helps excrete heavy metals through the skin. Research indicates sweat can contain higher concentrations of metals like lead and cadmium compared to urine, making it an effective detox pathway.

11. Use Castor Oil Packs on the Liver

Applying castor oil packs (castor oil-soaked cloths placed over the liver area) supports liver detoxification by improving circulation and reducing inflammation. The liver processes and eliminates heavy metals, and castor oil’s anti-inflammatory properties may enhance this function, aiding toxin excretion.

12. Practice Fasting

Intermittent fasting or short-term fasting (e.g., 16:8 method or water fasting under supervision) promotes autophagy, the body’s process of clearing damaged cells and toxins, including heavy metals. Fasting supports liver and kidney function, enhancing the elimination of metals through bile and urine, while reducing toxin intake during the fasting period.

13. Add Lemon, Lime, or Key Lime Juice to Drinking Water

Adding lemon, lime, or key lime juice to drinking water provides vitamin C and antioxidants, which support liver detoxification and neutralize free radicals caused by heavy metals. The citric acid in these juices may enhance the excretion of metals like lead by binding to them in the digestive tract, promoting their removal through urine.

14. Salt Your Food with Quality Salt Like Baja Gold

Using high-quality, mineral-rich sea salt like Baja Gold instead of processed table salt supports detoxification by providing trace minerals (e.g., magnesium, potassium) that aid cellular function and hydration. These minerals may help the kidneys and liver process and excrete heavy metals more effectively, while proper hydration supports toxin elimination through urine and sweat.
